My Ultimate 2023 Christmas Gift Guide

Welcome to the North Pole of gift-giving genius, where I've untangled the holiday hustle and wrapped it up in a bow of pure present perfection. 'Tis the season to be shopping, and fear not, for you've stumbled upon the treasure trove of yuletide inspiration that'll make you the gift guru of the century. I've scoured the snow-covered slopes of the internet, mined the depths of creativity, and put Santa's workshop to shame with the ultimate Christmas gift guide that's more delightful than that first sip of champagne at your dreaded work Christmas do.

Secret Santa Gifts

Secret Santa is still an office favourite, but one of my favourite games, White Elephant, also known as the ultimate gift-giving showdown, is the game where your holiday spirit collides with delightful chaos. It's a bit like a gift exchange with a mischievous twist. Everyone buys a pressie worth no more than a tenner, you gather your friends or family, toss your gifts into the ring, and take turns deciding whether you want to be a gift snatcher extraordinaire or stick with the mysterious contents of an unopened present. Just remember, in White Elephant, one person's trash is another's treasure, and the lols are as abundant as the plot twists. So, prepare for the unexpected, because you might just end up with a singing fish, jar of hot dogs, or the most coveted item of the night, all in the name of festive fun.

Gifts From Small Businesses

Buying from small businesses isn't just about getting unique, handcrafted treasures; it's about spreading holiday cheer to passionate makers and creators who pour their hearts into their work. It's like unwrapping a double gift - one for your loved ones and another for the small business owner who does a happy dance with every sale. So, this holiday season, let's make Santa's nice list by choosing gifts that have a story and a soul, while also giving a little extra sparkle to the entrepreneurial dreamers out there.

I’m sorry but how cute is this little fella? And what skill to be able to crochet baby animals? Mmmm, maybe I need to put this on my things to learn in 2024 list! The most adorable gift for a child or just for someone who's a massive fan of all baby animals. *cough

A few of you mentioned this lovely shop. They have a great range of fun, affordable items from clothing to homeware. This Evil eye throw stood out as a great gift.

Home Present Ideas

When choosing Christmas gifts for someone's home, it's not just about adding decor; it's about sprinkling a dash of warmth and personality into their living space. From scented candles to whimsical wall art that tells a story, there's a world of thoughtful treasures waiting to transform any house into a home.

Lucy Mahon Pictures - Starting From £70

I have been a fan of Lucy’s art for years and have numerous pieces in my home. You really can’t go wrong with gifting a piece of her fabulous work. Ps: She does personalised pieces too if you want something extra special.

You guys always ask me where I get my hand painted musical stars plates from. Well from Cher to Rod, Josephine can do it all. My collection of her work is always a talking point at every dinner party.

I adore Janine's glasses. The colours, the patterns, the quality of the glass. All are unique and all are stunning. I love my mixed and matched collection and have given them to many friends who equally adore them.

Helllooooo it’s a planter that’s also a disco ball. What's not to love?

Kate is such a talented potter. I love her quirky coffee cups and am a particular fan of these stripy plates.

Every time I read one of Dan's plates I have a little giggle to myself. So funny yet so relatable.

These have been in my 5 faves throughout the year. They are just the most gorgeous plant pots. A perfect gift for any keen gardener or house plant lover.

These delicate, glass candle stick holders are just so beautiful. Mix and match them for extra uniqueness.

These Murano blown tumblers are a little work of art in their own right. Equally beautiful filled with orange squash or a small bunch of fresh flowers.

Coffee Table Books

Coffee table books aren't just decorations; they're windows into the soul of someone's interests and passions. When you choose a coffee table book as a gift, you're giving more than just pages filled with stunning visuals and stories; you're offering a glimpse into their world. So, whether it's a volume of breath-taking landscapes, a collection of culinary masterpieces, or a deep dive into their favourite designer’s work, a coffee table book gift speaks volumes about your thoughtfulness.

Matthew Williamson Living Bright - £30

Mulled wine and clementines on a crisp, cold day

Salt on the skin after swimming on a hot day in the crystal-clear waters of Formentera.

It’s an icon. Fruity, Smokey and unique.

It’s like eating an Eton Mess in the height of berry season whilst sitting in a rose garden.

This smells like you’ve wandered into a greenhouse full of ripe, juicy tomatoes. Wonderful.

Imagine sitting on a beach in St. Lucia, taking a sip of local rum and feeling the warmth as it slips down. This.

This smells like the flower hall in Harrods. I’m not even sure if there is a flower hall in Harrods, but if there was….

Imagine the best bar of fresh soap you’ve ever smelt. Yep this.

Bath Essentials

Giving bath essentials is like gifting a personal spa retreat. Whether it's luxurious bath soaks or soothing lavender oils, you're gifting the promise of self-indulgence and rejuvenation. So, as your recipients soak away the holiday hustle, they'll think of you with endless appreciation.

Soapsmith Bath Soak - £30

My all-time favourite bath product. The Bloomsbury scent is my number one. Think peonies and roses. Not only will your bathroom be left smelling stunning, but your skin will also be left feeling soft for hours.

Luxuriousness in a bottle. This is a stunning pressie for a bath lover. The combination of Lavender, rosemary and geranium will transport you to your very own spa.

Firstly, how lovely does this look? Secondly, this aromatic bath soak helps to relax the mind and body. A real treat.

I am so happy that the experts at Space NK have created their own products and this bubble bath is one of my faves. Its affordable, it looks great and it creates the most mega bubbles.

Jamie loves a bath as much as me, so it made complete sense for her brand, Vieve, to create a bath range. And it doesn’t disappoint. The soak smells gorgeous as well as leaving your skin feeling soft and hydrated.

You know I’m obsessed with these bath and shower oils. The Deep Relax is my go-to scent.  I can’t tell you how magic this is. It’s a great addition to your night-time routine as it really does help to relax you before bed. If your racing mind is preventing you from a good night's rest, this calming concoction contains grounding vetiver as well as camomile to soothe and sandalwood to help feel relaxed. It works wonders for me.

I’ve said it many times before, but this is the best bubble bath EVER. The end.

I love Weleda products and their bath milks leave your skin feeling so soft. The Lavender is my go-to.

I’ve used this product and loved it forever. It smells beautiful whilst also lightly exfoliating your skin leaving it feeling smooth.

When this says it helps you fall asleep, it means it. The essential oils linger beautifully from the bath to your bed.

I love an at-home beauty treatment, who wouldn’t? An Urban voucher would give someone the perfect excuse for that well-needed massage. And then imagine being able to roll straight into bed? Bliss.

The lipsticks are treasures. The first of their kind, they are actually made from solid glass. The case is refillable so you can mix and match your colours. Such a gorgeous gift that will be kept forever.

Skin Rocks is, without a doubt, one of my favourite brands of the year. So who wouldn’t want 2 of their best-selling products? Add on Caroline's incredible Skin Care book for the ultimate Skin Freaks gift

The array of beauty advent calendars is quite remarkable this year, as are the savings. What a fab pressie to receive under the tree. Here's my breakdown of the best out there.
