Gloriously Gluten-Free: The GF goodies always on my go-to list

Happy Saturday fellow gluten-free foodies. Get ready to embark on a delish quest through the streets of London because today I’m sharing not only my fave places to go to for gluten-free foods, but also the gluten-free goodies that are on my weekly grocery list.

Gluten free eating – and shopping – has come a long way since I started going gluten-free. What used to be akin to eating cardboard has really evolved into truly delicious food choices. From pasta to pastry, I’ve got you covered.

Here’s the rundown:

o   Maidea Pasta is the crown jewel of GF pasta. I've slipped it past friends (yep, even the Italians) without a hitch. If that’s not endorsement enough, I don’t know what is.

o   Nairns is my secret weapon for when the oatcake, cracker, and biscuit cravings hit. Those cheese oatcakes? Non-negotiable for my snack drawer.

o   The Gluten-Free Bakery’s bagels ended my 13-year bagel drought. Doughy, crispy, just all-around yum - and they freeze like a dream.

o   Birdseye’s gluten-free fish fingers have brought back the magic of fish finger sandwiches. Throw on some Tartar sauce, and it's like the real deal.

o   Gluten-Free Soy Sauce mixed with a splash of yuzu is my salad dressing holy-grail. It’s so good, I tote a bottle to sushi nights.

o   Jus-Rol GF pastry turned Greggs’ Bean and Cheese slices from a distant dream to my kitchen regular. I make all sorts of pasties with these. Simply cut your slice shape, fill it with beans, cheese and a bit of Worcester sauce, add another slice on top, seal it with some egg wash and chuck it in the oven for 20 min. Are you drooling as much as me?

o   Manna Dew GF Pain au chocolat is like biting into a cloud of chocolate heaven. Just heat and eat.

o   Borough 22 Doughnuts are the bomb. A flavour explosion awaits with every bite, from cinnamon sugar to zesty lemon glaze.

o   Niche Bread & Cakes is your go-to for cloud-like loaves and sinful pastries. Gluten, who?

o   Isabel's Free From makes those “too busy to cook” days a breeze with their GF mixes and meals. Pizza night is back on the menu.

o   Pasta Evangelists bring the taste of Italy right to my doorstep with their killer GF pasta dishes. Authentic Italian without the gluten? Sign me up.

o   Artisan Gluten Free Bakery is where my sweet tooth goes to party. Everything's gluten-free and downright delicious.

o   Squirrel Sisters keeps me going with their gluten-free, vegan snack bars. Perfect for that afternoon slump.

o   Hippeas chickpea puffs are my latest obsession. Snacking has never been so addictive.

o   Pollen + Grace is my go-to for gluten-free, dairy-free meals that are big on flavour and convenience.

o   Gato & Co serves up GF, vegan-friendly puddings that are out of this world. Hello, dessert heaven.

o   LoveRaw’s vegan chocolate bars, like hazelnut butter cups, are my little slice of paradise.

o   Eat Natural Bars are my hunger-busting heroes, perfect for on-the-go snacking.

o   Perkier's range of gluten-free breakfast goodies range from porridge pots to granola bars and their products are packed full of nutritious ingredients to keep you feeling energised all morning long.

And there you have it, my gluten-free grail list. The quest for the perfect GF bread continues, but I’m not throwing in the towel. Got a lead? Hit me up in the comments.

Love,

Lisa xx
